The Congregational United Church of Christ, Punta Gorda,
with God's blessing,
declare ourselves to be an
open and affirming church, welcoming people,
regardless of race, gender identity and expression, age, culture, sexual orientation, faith background, marital status, economic factors and varied health,
to share a faith journey
We have extended our spiritual horizons and acknowledge the image of God in every person.
We believe that through diversity all can grow and practice a unity of faith that transcends our differences.
Live out what you believe,
and God will truly bless you.--
Adopted unanimously by our congregation on November 1, 2015
Sunday worship has been suspended indefinitely
A new phrase has entered our lexicon: “Flatten the Curve”
It is in response to the Covid-19 outbreak. This has brought a tremendous amount of change to us in a very short time. It may feel like defeat to take this step. We can assure you, though, it is based on prudence and not panic. We still continue to worship and be a church. Weekly sermons will be posted on the website (click here), and we are live streaming on Facebook (click here).
Our Thursday Bible Study at 1:00 p.m. in the Church Library is continuing, although there will not be Bible Study on Thursday, April 9 (Maundy Thursday).
