The Congregational United Church of Christ, Punta Gorda,

with God's blessing,

declare ourselves to be an

open and affirming church, welcoming people,

regardless of race, gender identity and expression, age, culture, sexual orientation, faith background, marital status, economic factors and varied health,

to share a faith journey

with Christ.

We have extended our spiritual horizons and acknowledge the image of God in every person.

We believe that through diversity all can grow and practice a unity of faith that transcends our differences.

Live out what you believe,

and God will truly bless you.--

In Person Worship

We will try to keep you informed as we resume activities that have been suspended since COVID or are now on summer hiatus.   In person worship has been going smoothly, and we are doing fellowship in Faith Hall immediately following services on the second and fourth Sundays.  Due to the rising numbers of cases and positivity rates in Charlotte County, we are asking that all unvaccinated worshippers wear a mask.  During the Passing of the Peace and our departure hymn, we ask that individuals refrain from clasping hands and other forms of physical contact.

Stay Tuned!

Throughout the pandemic, we have managed to keep in touch with members and friends all over the world via live streaming, and this will continue in the post-COVID era.  Streaming also provides us with opportunities we never expected.  We have been presented with very exciting opportunity to engage in a study series that will focus on sacred conversations to end racism.  Click here to read "From the Pastor's Desk" in the June 2021 Beacon.
